A well blended smoothie might reduce the effect of insoluble fiber (maybe),
but not the soluble fiber that absorbs toxins during digestion. Also, many
phytonutrients and antioxidants are either on or just under the skin of
many fruits and veggies, and are lost in juicing but not in blending.
Blending, as opposed to juicing, will also reduce glucose spikes due to the
insoluble fiber. It is a myth that blending produces enough heat to oxidize
the nutrients. Don’t fall for the “enzyme” myth, either

I actually just made sweet potatoes last night – I sliced them into coins
and boiled them, then drained it off, rinsed off the excess starches, and
pan seared them to get a nice carmelization on them, then finished it by
deglazing with a fresh squeeze of orange juice and a touch of cinnamon,
himalayan salt and ground pink peppercorns. Super good

Hi Jason, I was wondering what your thoughts were on green smoothies daily?
I have been vegan for a month now but I wanted to add green smoothies daily
to my diet because I have been reading about all the health benefits BUT I
recently read fiber is killed when you blend the fruits and veggies and
that the smoothies raise insulin and sugar levels. I am confused and not
sure what path to go down. Can you give me any advice? PLEASE AND THANK YOU!
